LAS ROCKDIVAS, by Carolina

It was some time ago when I started singing with Juan, almost by chance. I'll never forget that first rehearsal, when I amazed him by asking if it was compulsory to sing at the mike with the headphones on. That session was followed by many others where we trying to find out the key, I rehearsed the songs and how to sing them, we recorded some vocal takes… and, eventually, it seems there are three songs I sing on this record. I don't want to talk too much, I just want to tell you, Juan, thanks! Thanks for giving me this chance, for the good times spent together, for being such a patient and good partner and director, for that wonderful music… Thanks, and let's go for the second ROCKDIVAS' CD!

I'd like to dedicate my small contribution on this record to the love of my life, Miguel Angel, to my family and my great friend J.Macicior.

"DEPENDO DE TI" (I'm Depending On You) is the first song I recorded. It was a big challenge for me. I thought it was quite complex, but… I was so excited! The lyrics are so beautiful and yet quite tough; a sick dependence that affects some parts of our society, and some other parts may long to have. And that guitar solo just drives me crazy!

"CUESTE LO QUE CUESTE" (Whatever It Takes) suggests courage, strength, not fearing other people's opinion, the will to struggle, to love the ordinary as well as the extraordinary. I think it's a song filled with drive and hope. And thanks to the other DIVAS for those great backing vocals!

Changing "TODO POR NADA" (All for Nothing) is the big bet, taking a risk to live an adventure: life itself, love, happiness… In a world where we try to avoid uncertainties, pain and insecurities, the fact that there are people that take risks is an example: There's a difference between let life flow and be willing to get the most out of it.
